I even reinstalled 5.7.1.474 after the Windows 10 upgrade and it took without hesitation. Other than the mentioned issues above everything else seems to work. It is also interesting to note that they did provide a tax table in their cloud version. You just have to be cognizant that there might be some new codes that don’t show up and you may have to manually adjust your tax report for a few entries. Since it the reporting system still works I can get a 2019 tax report off. It appears that the original tax table is the same as it always has, and I have continued to use it the last 4 weeks. Please note that this fix will only work on Windows Vista, Windows 2008, or Windows 7 and newer. You can create a directory junction (type of symbolic link) in Windows that will make the Neat software look in its default location ( C:ProgramDataThe Neat CompanyNeatWorks) but access files in a new location. (Rumours have it that version 5 of the NeatWorks will allow this). When I got to configuring my NeatWorks NeatReceipts scanner software, it turns out there is no way to change the default data directory through the application’s preferences. It isn’t a great idea to store your data on these drives, so with each application install, I make sure that it stores its data to my secondary (SATA) hard drive. I recently purchased a new computer with a solid-state hard drive as the operating system/applications drive.
